End of Nadal’s domination…

In case you missed it…

Sunday a.m was not great to Rafael Nadal and his fans at the French Open after Nadal faced a tough swedish player Robin Soderling.Before this 4th round match Nadal had a record of 31 winning matches with four French Open slam titles.

…Rafa at the podium after his first loss in four year at the French Open….

The 24-year-old from Sweden, Soderling (below) beat the No.1ranked Nadal in four sets 6-2, 6-7 (2), 6-4, 7-6 (2).

Other favorite players who are out of the French Open are Venus Williams(USA),James Blake(USA),Novak Djokovic(Serbia).For Roger Federer’s fans who think he can pull it out this year after Nadal’s fall,they should hold their breath because there is a bunch of great players who can do wonders on clay court.

Da king..

And the Orlando Magic took care of so-called King James and his Cavs..103-90.

Now,Orlando will face Kobe Bryant and the Lakers in the finals which start on Thursday night at Staples Center, Los Angeles.In the regular season Orlando Magic swept the La Lakers 2-0.The other team to do so were the Bobcats under coach Larry Brown.Just keep in mind that this is 30th time the lakers are playing the finals and they were here last year before they lost to the aged Boston Celtics.For Orlando,it is their fisrt time since 1995 when they got swept by Houston Rockets.

Lakers won..

Game 6 in Denver,the tough place to win especially in playoff..it was so easy for KB and the lakers.

Kobe Bryant of La lakers gives Carmelo Anthony of Denver Nuggets a brotherly hug after beating him and the nuggets 119-92 to win the series 4-2.The Los Angeles Lakers are the champs of the western conference and are heading to the final against Orlando/Cleveland staring from June 4th.Game 6 of Orlando/Cleveland will be in Orlando tonight and the Orlando Magic leads the series 3-2.They are one game away from crashing with the LA Lakers in the NBA final.

Kobe (above with coach Phil Jackson) had 35 points,10 assists to spoil the Nuggets at their own court and Carmelo’s 25th birthday.

Injury…

Things are getting better…

Kwa wale ndugu zangu tunakumbana kwenye kikapu na soka nadhani mtakumbuka on Monday nilituma text na ku-post kwenye facebook juu ya tatizo la mgongo nililopata kwenye game ya kikapu last Sat.Well,nilipata nafasi ya kukutana na chiopractic na walinicheki na kunifanyia some adjustment plus mazoezi madogo kila siku mwenyewe.

Now,nadhani naweza kurudi kiwanjani kamili by next week.Nitajaribu kwenda kupiga kikapu kidogo leo kupima maumivu.

….Special thanks kwa wote who had sent me some get-well wishes….

Finally got hitched…

Rapper TI and his long-time girl friend Tameka Cottle a.k.a Tiny are officially hubby and wifi now.

They got married last week end somewhere in Miami.They have got two kids together in their almost 8 years relationship.

Nuggets even the series..

I guess we can all agree last night was JR Smith’s night..

He had 24 points with huge 3-pointers to sink the LA Lakers 120-101.This series is now tied 2-2 and is moving back to holywood for game 5.In Rockets-Lakers series,the Lakers lost game 4 badly in Houston by 24 points margin.Then that series moved to Los Angeles where the rockets got humiliated by 40 points.Lets hope the Denver Nuggets are taking memos from Lakers-Rockets series and # 24 is not mad from being tripped by Dante Jones last night.

Majuzi,rais wetu Jakaya Mrisho wa Kikwete alipata fursa ya kuwa rais wa kwanza toka bara la kiza kutembelea white house chini ya Pres Barack Obama.

Moja ya vitu muhimu walivyoongea ni issue ya mauaji ya Darfur,uchumi kwa ujumla,relationships kati ya Marekani na Bongo plus kuna uvumi ya kuwa rais JK aliomba ushairi juu ya ile issue yake na ile website ya zeutamu..

Kwa kifupi ni kuwa jamaa wa zeutamu walivuka mpaka wa uhuru wa kutumia mtandao kwa kuweka picha yenye sura ya JK akifanyiwa mambo machafu…Matokeo yake zeutamu imefungiwa kabisa na wahusika wake wanatafutwa.Kumbuka zeutamu ni site iliyokuwa na visitors wengi katika historia ya mtandao kwa bongo.

After lifting his team to even the series in the final second…

LeBron James(2nd left) fires a 3-pointer to beat the buzz and the Magic 96-95.

..End of discussions on his 2009 MVP award…

Can you sense the final series might have an unexpected team(s).Denver has a shot at Kobe and the Lakers while the Magic has shown that the can take care of the Cavs without big number of points from their Superman.

Lasr night was a tough one for # 24…

Camelo “the bully” Anthony (right) and his Nuggets shook the Lakers with a win 106-103 to even the series.Game 3(Sat night) and 4(Mon night) will be in Denver a tough place to win for visitors.Can Kobe and his slaggish teammates handle it?

… I’m loving these great moments of hoops…

Kobe Bryant still teaches Camelo Anthony some pretty moves.

This was Tues night in LA when the Lakers was battling against the Nuggets from Denver.Lakers won 105-103 to take a 1-0 lead of best of 7 in the western conference final.Game 2 is tonight at 9:00 ET in Los Angeles.

Magic ruins King James’ night..

Final score in Cleveland,Ohio..Orlando Magic 107-Cleveland Cavaliers 106.

After Sweeping Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks and then a long and nice 9-day vacation,LeBron James had faced something new Wed night,this was Dwight “superman” Howard and the Orlando Magic who outplayed the Cavs in the 2nd half to steal game 1 and home court advantage.This Orlando team came in from a brutal battles against Boston Celtics in 7 games.But this could not stop them from punishing the Cavs respectly.

Technician tries to install back time clock after Dwight’s dunk

Game 2 will be on Frid night in Cleveland.This loss was the 3rd one for the Cavs at home this year,the other two were from the Lakers and 76ers of Philly and it was their first playoff loss this year.

LeBron (above) who was limping after the game from cramps had 49 points and 6-10 from the free throw line.His bench players produced only 5 points against 50 from the Magic.For them to advance to the final,mr MVP has to do extra work to win 4 games against the team that shoot 3 pointers like crazy.

…Too bad they did not have “big baby” for their final shot….

Rafa vs Federer..

Finally,the Madrid Open Tennis tournament came to an end today..

In men’s final was between #1 Rafael Nadal vs #2 Roger Federer(above),surprisingly Roger won 6-4,6-4 on clay against Nadal.Two things to remember here are Nadal is considered to be the king of clay and this tournament was happening in his own country(Spain) plus Federer came to this tournament fresh from his honeymoon with his pregnant wife Mirka.Now,their head-to-head record is 13-7 in favor of Rafael Nadal. By winning today,Roger had just put a break on Nadal’s 33-match clay winning streak.In less than a week from now these two foes on court-and-pals off court will have another chance for another showdown in Wimbledon.

In the ladies’ final,Dinara Safina(R) won the title against Carolina Wozniacki in straight set,6-2,6-4.
